If you’d like to see our latest plans and meet our team to find out more about our preparations for the first sustainable self-built community in Kent, please join us at Build it Live  at the Kent Event Centre near Maidstone, on Saturday 4^th and Sunday 5^th of February. There’s also the opportunity to meet a variety of other exhibitors who can help inspire your self build journey; from architects and financial advisers to designers and builders of timber frame houses and heat pump advisers.

Our Orchard Farm team will be at stand C38 to show you the proposed layout of the plots and how the landscape will look around the plots and across the site. As our design team is still working hard behind the scenes to get all the details completed, we are not yet able to give you the cost of the plots, however the likely cost will be similar to buying a new built house in the area, depending on your specification, and you can design a home for the way you want to live.

By this autumn, we will inform everyone who is registered on our database about how they can secure a plot and start their self-build adventure with us.

As well as finding out more about Orchard Farm, you can also speak to our Dutch Marketing Partner, Mila Kluen, about the Steenvlinder experience of self-build in the Netherlands and how it will work in the UK. Adam Roake, Orchard Farm’s UK Managing Director and UK Marketing Partner, Catriona Campbell, will also be on hand to answer your questions alongside our Landscape Architect, Honoré van Rijswijk and Project Manager, Tom Ashley.

You can enjoy a virtual walk around part of the site, put together by Ben Roake of Spacemaker Architects, based in East Kent. We love people with grand designs but we’re interested to meet you if you have a modest budget and less ambitious plans too.
